Send and Email to the City: COVID-19 is an Income Crisis

Housing providers and residents across the city are working together to find solutions to deal with the big losses in income many residents will face because of job loss and dislocation caused by the response to COVID-19. What the City of Seattle needs to focus on today is not expanding eviction bans but supporting residents having trouble paying rent and working with providers facing challenges with their mortgages and costs. We need to work together to solve this crisis. You can see our letter to the Council and Mayor here.

The City Council instead is considering just widening a ban on eviction that does nothing to truly help people in need. Let them know your thoughts. And if you can support the work of Seattle For Growth during this time, we’d appreciate the help. You can contribute here.

COVID-19 Is About Income, Not Eviction (Vote no on Council Bill 119761 and Council Bill 119762.)
